The Canary Islands Cultural Museum is located approximately 18 miles southeast of New Orleans in Saint Bernard Parish. Follow Interstate 10 to Louisiana Hwy. 47 (LA 47) and drive south. At LA 46, turn left and continue through the town of Violet. At Louisiana Hwy. 39 (LA 39), turn right and drive through the town of Poydras. After passing the Saint Bernard State Park, the museum is on the right hand side of the road. Alternate Directions from the French Quarter: Follow North Rampart Street (La 46) south through the town of Violet. Turn right onto La 39 and drive through the town of Poydras. After passing the Saint Bernard State Park, the museum is on the right hand side of the road.
